Based in Jack Brabham's
buildings (
), Brooklands Motor Company restore and repair most types of car.
We look after racing Cobra's and many FIA cars.
On the Aston Martin scene we are currently restoring a DB5, 2 DB6's,
1 V8, 3 DB4's, 2 Facel KH500's, a TR2 and an SS 21/2l Jaguar Roadster.
We are converting a DB4 to GT spec on our jig bracketing system, removing
the 5 inches and lightening the body with alloy floors etc.
We fabricate and wheel all our own panels, we have Miller TIG welding
facilities, weld Stainless Steel, gas weld aluminium and of course MIG.
We have a Low Bake Oven system with expert colour matching for the Ultimate
paint finish.
Our staff have all either worked at AC Cars or at Porsche approved bodyshops
and have race car prep experience.
Since I was a boy
of ten, I have gained experience working during school holidays and
weekends at bodyshops, from Porsche repairers, prepping Porsche Cup
Championship cars to working with Mercedes Touring cars in the Eighties.
In 1989 I started Brooklands Motor Company, I was 26 years old.
I rented the buildings from Ron Taraunac, Jack Brabham's designer. Then
there was the recession, but we gradually built up the reputation that
we have now.
Now, in addition, we work in association with Brooklands museum, restoring
the aluminium wing tips and elevator sections of a Hawker Hurricane
project.
Further, we provide period vehicles for the Goodwood Revival.
I am always interested in Aston Martin car parts, unfinished projects,
salvage, classic cars and collect memorabilia.
We are all enthusiasts
in all types of historic vehicle, classic car or aircraft.
We give free advice if you are carrying out a DIY restoration, or can
quote if you wish to leave it to us.
